The cable is designed for use in vertical installations where the jacket prevents the spread of fire between floors in a building, an important feature whether it is in a backbone network or a surveillance installation.

The conductors are 23 AWG and made of pure copper with a cross-over separator between the pairs. This ensures that it meets the requirements for both Cat6 channel and component standards as well as PoE applications.

The jacket is marked with a descending length indicator every meter, making it easy to check how much cable is left, reducing both installation time and cable waste.
