DELTACO e-Charge charging cable, Schuko to type 1, 1 phase, 3.6KW, 5m, black

The DELTACO e-Charge EV-1125 charging cable is suitable for all vehicles with a Type 1 socket for those who want to charge via a standard Schuko wall socket for mode 2 charging. Charging power up to 3.6KW. Adjustable charging current between 10A or 16A. Silver-plated connectors ensure good contact and long lifespan. Length 6M. The Type 1 connector is equipped with a dust cover to protect against dust, dirt, and moisture during storage. The cable's control box has a built-in type A residual current device.
The cable is made of TPE material which provides excellent resistance to oil, abrasion, and UV light. The cable is also flexible in cold temperatures.
Cars with Type 1 sockets include Mitsubishi Outlander, for example.

The charging of the car is monitored through two-way communication between the car and the control box. When the cable is connected to the car, a self-test is carried out to ensure that the cable is correctly connected and that the car is ready to receive power before charging begins and the control box energizes the cable.
Protected according to IP 66. The cable's control box has a built-in residual current device. The power is cut off in the event of a ground fault.

• Extension cables must not be used.
• The cable must not be repaired or spliced as this may affect its safety and function.

The Swedish Electrical Safety Authority (Elsäkerhetsverket), the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB), the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency (Tukes), and the Danish Safety Technology Authority (Sikkerhedsstyrelsen) all advise against regular charging in standard wall and engine heater sockets. Note that some local deviations may occur.
But in general, the following is recommended:
• Old or faulty connections and cable branching in the building can cause overheating under high load, which in turn can lead to fire. Therefore, have an electrical installation company verify the electrical installation.
• Standard wall and engine heater sockets (Schuko) are not designed for electric vehicle charging and cannot handle repeated high load for long periods of time - always limit the charging to 8-10A and hang up the control box on a hook.
• Extension cords should not be used as there is a risk that the fuse will not provide proper protection. Additionally, if the control box or extension cord ends up on the ground, they can easily be damaged. Do not use any equipment between the socket and the charging cable.
